We've got a micro network effect
chainpy.wei has created holders.vote and chosen WNS to be one of its name services.
ross.wei has created WNS and chosen holders.vote to be its official forum.
I, geek.wei, have created a couple of communities on holders.vote and chosen WNS for all kinds of names here.
That's a good start it seems. This is what 99% of new projects never achieve.
What's next? Since we've already got on-chain nicknames, I guess the next step would be PFPs and PFBs (profile banners) loaded from the WNS text records ("avatar" and "header"). It would also work for community names.
We're going to ship profiles w/ pics + banners, hopefully this week, let people add bios. But might delay showing profile pics inline in the threads+posts until we have a bit more traction with people who have names in the first place. We don't want to key off of non-names.
We want to ship something creative, to do something smarter than gross ETH-addresses, for people without names. We have something novel cooking, credibly more novel than what I've seed done anywhere else in web3.
